Another one off to kindergarten!

I have TWO kids in school! I can't believe it. The morning turned out great. There wasn't much protest from Lacey and she seemed hesitantly excited. Aidan was up before the alarm went off with a HUGE smile on his face. He was SO ready to go.
You know how you know your kids "looks" and what they mean. Well, as we walked to the bus stop Lacey gave me this look like "mom I'm excited but nervous. Can I do this?" This picture just captured that! I made sure I was upbeat and strong, meaning not breaking down into convulsing sobs, so she would continue to be excited.
The neighborhood group. One boy is actually in Lacey's class.
Waiting for the bus!
Here it comes!
The last look. Am I ready mom?
Aidan, as excited as ever!
The top of Lacey's head and her hand waving goodbye!
Off to kindergarten and second grade!
Lacey did great. She was brave and showed no hesitancy getting on the bus. I'm so proud of her. She kept checking to see if I was crying yet. She even said, "You aren't crying mom." I told her I was waiting till she was gone to cry. I actually didn't tear up on the way home. I was just so thrilled for them. I wish I could sneak a peek at their day. I will miss them!

Now you know what Mom felt like and why she would say "I want to know what happened Word for Word."

those are big days in a kids life. But big days for us as moms too. Glad you got some good pics to document it.

I love Aidan's hair do. It looks kinda like someone I know. I am hoping that Bryson will do just as good getting on the bus. (fingers crossed) Also, is Lacey taller than Aidan?

That day was always so hard!!! I really loved being around the kids...most of the time. And I really missed them when they were at school. But I found that I could get my work done and play with the littler ones and be a better mom when I had a break from them and they had someone else expecting them to do things. I cry just thinking about those days. There was excitement in the air. Everyone in new clothes. A great day!!!!

I was so excited to see you commented on my blog - I figured we'd been long forgotten by ya'll in LaGrange! Your kids are getting so big! They're still darling too. The thumbs down story is hilarious (sorry, and heart breaking all at the same time.) It sounds like Lacey's liking school. Tatum HATED the first few days - but one day it clicked and she loves it now - whew! Tell everyone hi for us! We miss ya!
