Hot tubbin'

We love getting in the hot tub at Granny's house. You feel like you are in the middle of the forest with all the big evergreen trees around. It is so relaxing and beautiful. One little one didn't like it much though. Maybe it was too hot?

Oh Aidan!

While we were all driving around today Ryan and I were just talking about "what ifs". Ryan asked me if I would be willing to move to Paris if his airline started doing flights over there. Aidan overheard us talking and jumped in and said, "I don't want to move there." We asked him why. His very adamant response was, "I don't like their cheese!" Their cheese? Seriously Aidan....the reason you wouldn't move to Paris is due to their bad tasting cheese? How he ever correlated Paris with cheese is anybody's guess.

Ryan and Aidan were tossing the football in the yard today and found a pile of dog poop in our yard. Later Ryan was telling Aidan (jokingly) that it was his job tomorrow to clean up the poop. Aidan said, " I don't want to clean it up. I want our home teacher to do it!" That is what they are there for Aidan, those home teachers are suppose to give service!

A piece of my heart has broken

Today at church I was released as the 1st Counselor in the Primary Presidency. And, my heart has broken. I found out last Sunday and it just has not been an easy week for me. I have cried since last Sunday and haven't been able to sleep very well. I was just devastated when they called me in and told me. As I was the only one from the Presidency to be released, it came as quite a shock. I wasn't ready to be released. I loved working with the primary kids and especially with my own kids. I loved being able to teach them, share my testimony and learn the primary songs with them. I loved going to church to be with the kids. It was a great outlet for me and a place I loved so much. I was able to work in a great presidency. Each member had different talents that made us such a great team. I was able to hear their testimonies, laugh with them and grow with them. I will miss the closeness a presidency shares. I will miss singing primary songs, being with my kids at church and having a place to belong to and to be needed. I was called as the Ward Activities Chairman. It is definitely a change of gears for me. It will be a different challenge and a different reward.

First steps!

Cassidy took her first steps tonight. We were all in the living room together and Ryan stood her up and told her to walk to me. She surprised us with four steps. She has been practicing standing but she just wouldn't move her feet. So when she just all the sudden did it and took a couple of steps we were so excited. We cheered and hugged. It is so cute to watch her. She knows she is doing something exciting and something to be proud of. She is our latest to walk (13 1/2 months) but I really have been okay with that. I am excited that once the weather is better she will be right ready to play! We were all so happy we were able to see her first steps!

Camera Thief

Someone stole my camera. Can you tell who it was by the pictures I found on my camera?

Can you relate?

I completely related to this cartoon. Sometimes all I want is a nice quiet hot bath. I leave the door unlock just in case of an emergency (we only have one bathroom). Within minutes of soaking in my bubble bath, I have three little faces looking at me with such longing. Sometimes it begins with "Can I see how warm the water is?" then, "Can I just put one foot in?". "Can I put my leg in up to my knee?" Before I know it I have three little bodies in my tub. Other times they have come in and left only to return completely naked and ready to jump in.

STOP!

Sunday at church Ryan was tickling Cassidy a little and she responded by saying, "Stop". We thought it just sounded like stop but there was no way she was actually meaning to say it. Well, later that day we were playing with her on our bed and again she said, "Stop". Now we knew it was no fluke. She was really saying stop. Now she says it often. Not in a nice way but in an obviously mad way. Who is the culprite in teaching her to say Stop? LACEY!

Playin'

We went to a park with a friend today after school. It was quite a windy day so we did kites while we were there. Cassidy had a great time playing on the little toys. She just needs to learn to walk and she would be so in heaven. I loved watching her play though. It is getting warmer here and we are so happy to be able to be outside.
