We all have been doing some new things in our family.
Ryan:
He completed his first mini-triathlon today. He has been training for a couple of months now. Unfortunately he has been fighting off a cold for the last week so doing the triathlon was a little harder than it would have been had he been at full strength. A mini triathlon entails 400 meter swim, 8 mile bike, and a 3 K run. We were all there to cheer him on. He did so great. His goal was to just actually finish, and that he did in an hour and 10 minutes. Isn't that awesome? The whole time I watched him I was just so proud that he had a goal and was doing it. He has been so dedicated.

Aidan:
He tried water skiing for the first time. At first he said no way I'm not trying. Once we got to the lake he decided he wanted to try. He tried twice but didn't get all the way up. I'm just happy that he is brave enough to try. I was sure proud of him. He will get it soon enough.

Lacey:
She started a little ballet class at the YMCA. I had her enrolled in the 3-4 class but as we were walking in and I saw the other little girls coming to the class I soon realized Lacey was a little too old for these girls. They looked and acted like they just had turned 3. They were all over the place and didn't really follow the teacher except for Lacey and maybe 2 other girls. I decided to stay around for the 5-6 class. She had a friend in that class and the girls just seemed to be paying better attention. So I officially moved her to the older class. She had a great time being all dressed up and twirling around. I think the best part for her though was that her teacher's name was Ariel.

Just as a side note. Aidan felt he had to be dressed up in a costume to go to the Y also so this is him going to watch Lacey in ballet class. Nothing more manly to make sure we all know that you think ballet is foo foo and you are a manly MAN!

Tiffany:
I signed up to be the room mother for Aidan's class. Yikes. Never done that before.
Cassidy:
She hasn't done anything new yet, but she still is just dang cute.
